Welcome to the Nene Park

Nene Park stretches for 10 km along the beautiful valley of the River Nene immediately west of Peterborough. At its heart is Ferry Meadows Country Park, situated in a large meander of the river Nene, with its lakes, meadows and woodlands that make it a favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year who enjoy the park for its accessible and attractive countryside setting.

Nene Park and Ferry Meadows in particular provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation and informal activities and is the perfect setting for people of all ages to experience nature, heritage and the great outdoors.

Over a million people visit Nene Park each year, with about half this number visiting Ferry Meadows, the country park at the heart of Nene Park.
