Walking And Cycling
Orton Mere and Woodston Reach are linked to both the city centre and Ferry Meadows Country Park by a network of footpath and cycle ways.

Horse Riding
There are horse routes throughout Nene Park with boxing points
at Ferry Meadows and Orton Mere. For more information on horse

Clubs
Proteus Canoe Club is based at Orton Mere. The
club has direct access to the river and promotes all forms of
paddle sports but specialises in Slalom.

Nene Valley Railway
The Nene Valley Railway passes through Nene Park on its journey
from Peterborough to Wansford. There are stations at both Orton
Mere and Ferry Meadows.
