Entrance Improvement Project

Starting on Monday 2 June for approx. 3 - 4 weeks there will be some improvement works taking place along Ham Lane. This is one of the park enhancement projects being delivered as part of the adopted Ferry Meadows Management Plan to improve the main entrance to the park. Access will be possible at all times and we have worked with our engineers and contractors to try to keep delays and disruption to a minimum.

The works include surface dressing to the lane, a raised path platform and rumble strip to help slow traffic speeds.  Locally made oak gates and wooden bollards will replace existing barriers to create an entrance more fitting for the Country Park.

At times vehicles will be controlled with traffic lights and an alternative surfaced path will be provided for walkers and cyclists.

The images below show the areas which are to be enhanced.
