Nene Park Trust receives Investors in People Silver Award

Nene Park Trust is pleased to be awarded the Investors in People (IiP) Silver Standard award. The Trust was first credited the bronze standard in 2011 and is now proud to be one of just a few employers who represent the top 3% of all employers in the IiP award scheme. Those achieving the silver standard have gone beyond the minimum requirements and the Trust has gained a total of 85 additional evidence requirements to achieve accreditation as a Silver IiP organisation.

The assessor was particularly complementary about the Trust's clear vision, its progress against its core values and how the organisation has been successful in actively involving and engaging people in the development of future plans, which are embraced at all levels of the organisation. The assessor added "People feel empowered and able to contribute to decision-making activities at both organisation and team level and there were also excellent examples of leadership and management and people have confidence in the senior leadership team."

James McCulloch, Chief Executive, said: "In working towards providing one of the best country parks in the UK, we also put great efforts into developing our staff team here, and I am delighted that the Trust has achieved the prestigious Silver IiP award in recognition of this."

Launched in 1991, the IiP award scheme has been voluntarily adopted by employees who represent more than 40 per cent of the UK workforce, benefitting more than 10 million people.

The award recognises the continued hard work the Trust does to improve its performance and staff engagement and a total of 15 staff across the organisation were interviewed.
