Watersports Centre on Track

Lindum Sturgeon started work on site early-April on the £2.5 million refurbishment of the watersports centre at Ferry Meadows. The build programme is currently on track to complete as scheduled for late January 2014.

A good part of the original building has been demolished and an outstanding 98% of the materials have been recycled.

Preparation work for electricity, CCTV and air conditioning can be seen on site along with the network of waste pipes. The steel framework, showing the extent of the new building, will be complete late June.

During July, you can expect to see the roofing and the cladding of the building going up and the shell will really start to look like a building.

The Trust is currently working on securing new operators for both the café and the new watersports and outdoor activity centre.
