Coming Soon - Ferry Meadows Play Trail

Work has begun on the designing of the Ferry Meadows play trail with school children, volunteers, members of the Access Forum and Trust staff joining in with some fun workshops during April to design future play equipment for the Park.  These ideas are now being worked up by Touch Wood, the company commissioned by the Trust to design and build the play trail, to produce a proposal for the first phase of a three year project to reinvigorate the play experience in Ferry Meadows.

During May half term further visitor engagement workshops were held in the Park and the start of the play trail entrance was built and designed.  On 19 June Touch Wood will be back in the Park to complete this feature and will also be demonstrating shingle making.

From 1 July Touch Wood will begin the installation of the pop up play features along Overton Bank.  Features will include a water cascade, wavy seating, a hollow log and a human sun dial.  This work will take approximately two weeks and will then be open for all to enjoy ahead of the installation of permanent play features near to the Ferry Meadows Café and playful sculptures along Overton Walk.
