Moo-ving In

Long Meadow is now being grazed by cattle during after having taken in the hay crop. This is in line with traditional management of the flood plain meadows.

Long Meadow will soon be fenced to keep cattle off the path and for seats to be installed later in the year.

The cattle are owned by local farmer Tony Dickens and are mainly South Devon's with calves born in January & February 2012, plus a few blond coloured Aberdeen Angus cattle, all of which have a placid nature.

Cattle grazing benefits the grassland and wildlife by encouraging a greater variety of plants to grow.

Please keep dogs under close control and ensure that all gates are closed behind you.
