Counting Butterflies

The Big Butterfly Count is a nationwide survey to count butterflies and day-flying moths. In 2010 over 10,000 people took part across the country and 210,000 butterflies and moths were counted.
Butterflies are excellent indicators of how healthy our environment is so it is important to carry out surveys such as the Big Butterfly Count.

On July 26 we are running an event at Ferry Meadows which will give you all the basic skills you need to take part as well as showing you great places to see butterflies in the Park.
