Walking

The area is perfect for walking due to a network of paths which includes sections of two long distance paths, the Nene Way and the Hereward Way.

If you are walking in or exploring beyond the Park, you will find the Ordnance Survey 1:25000 Explorer 227 map of Peterborough useful. The map is on sale at the Ferry Meadows Visitor Centre.

Fishing

Fishing is available on the River Nene. For all enquiries contact Jon Means, Head Bailiff for the Peterborough & District Angling Association by email jonathan.means@btinternet.com or by calling 01733 380768

Geocaching

There are a series of Geocaches throughout Nene Park. For more information on Geocaching or to obtain coordinates see http://www.geocaching.com/.

If you are interested in placing a geocache in Nene Park please contact visitor.services@neneparktrust.org.uk or call 01733 234193.

Horse Riding

A section of the horse route linking Ferry Meadows Country Park to Sutton passes through the Castor, Ailsworth & Sutton agricultural estate.
